CAPE TEA CO HONEYBUSH FARMS
Situated in the Tsitsikamma Mountains near Plettenberg Bay in the famous Garden Route of South Africa lies the Kurland and
Kleinberg Tea Estates which has been growing honeybush tea (Cyclopia longifolia) for nearly a decade.
Not too long ago, wild honeybush faced near extinction due to over-harvesting; because of this, a conscientious decision was
made by the Cape Tea Co. to cultivate honeybush responsibly by following the sustainable harvesting guidelines and have
dedicated over 40 hectares to this indigenous plant. The farms and nursery are certified organic by Ecocert.
Honeybush is indigenous to the Southern Cape of South Africa and is part of the fynbos biome. Naturally sweet, honey-like
taste, low in tannins, rich in antioxidants and free of caffeine - honeybush is perfect for all ages with no reported side effects
since its fi rst recorded use in 1705. Cape Tea Co. honeybush is free from pesticides, chemical fertilizers, additives, preservatives, other agrochemicals and is certifi ed organic by Ecocert.
